Slapstick
Closely related to the spoof is my next category of comedy: the slapstick or silly comedy. This constitutes by far the largest category of comedies, and some of the most beloved. Favorites of mine in this category include: Tommy Boy, Billy Madison, Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura (the first one), National Lampoon's Vacation, Zoolander, and Wayne's World. There are, of course, tons more, and you can feel free to discuss, add or subtract from my list. Only three more categories to go!
