The final category of comedies is what I am going to call the "smart" comedy. These are movies (as Booth so aptly described them) that go for funny ideas and things, and not necessarily punchlines and easy laughs. Really, the best way I can describe these movies, is to give examples. So here goes...just remember that this is by no means a comprehensive list, so please critique, add or subtract. Swingers, The Big Lebowski, Office Space, and O Brother Where Art Thou.
