Well, I saw two new movies over the weekend (new to me, at least). One I thought I would hate, and one I thought I might like. Ok, so it happened to turn out the opposite of what I expected. Friday night at Bransons, we watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and I thought I would detest it. The reviews were awful. But actually, it was rather funny. There were some hilarious scenes, and it was a *fairly* clean movie. Of course it was cheesy and predictable, and the ending was bad, but hey, what do you expect from the "typical hollywood romantic comedy".
Then on Saturday night, I took Lacey to see Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. I liked the first one and expected more of the same. But what I got was quite different. It was awful. The entire movie consisted of absolutely pointless scenes, strung together with no transition, just an excuse to dress up the three women in skimpy outfits and blow stuff up. There was no plot, very little dialogue...yuck. Sure, some of the stunts were cool, and I LOVE action movies, but this was too much for even me. I would not recommend this movie to ANYONE.

I'm going to watch How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days Tonight. It might be kind of cheesy, but Matthew McConahoweveryouspellthat is my celebrity crush, so I'll enjoy it anyway.

Nice new blog. You've now had more blogs than I've had cars.

Sheesh, the Booth posts identical stuff alot! LOL.

We tried to rent HtLaGiTD (Holy crow, what an acronym!) this weekend after hearing Annie's good report from the Branson showing. But Hastings doesn't get it until July 1, tomorrow. Guess it was out for purchase early, or Hastings is slow (or both), or something else. (Did I miss an option?) :p

Yes, Jon, you missed the option of Emily working at a video store and getting new releases before they come out.

We also could've watched Gangs os New York. Which is another good Romantic Comedy. Not Really. Its a movie that I really would like to see a second time and a third possibly.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days was suprsingly enjoyable even for me. I hate chick flicks, and am not all that fond of Kate Hudson. But, I'm sorry, Mathew McConahey-hey-hey is one sweet talk'n dude.
I have not yet seen Charlie's Angels nor do I plan to. After seeing one or two previews I decided it was nothing worth watching. I did enjoy the first one, but I am not looking forward to the third, as it is apparent that their plan is to progress the movies into more and more pointless filth.
