Terminator 3

I have now seen T3 twice now, once on Wednesday when it opened, with Matt and Jordan, and once with my family on Saturday. I was pretty worried about it, being a HUGE T2 fan, and knowing that James Cameron had nothing to do with it. So my expectations were admittedly low. But it turned out to be very good! It was funny (more of Arnold's one-liners, and very audience-friendly dialogue, peppered with references to the first two movies), action-packed (the f/x were great), enjoyable, and had a very good ending. All in all, it was no T2, but well worth the admission price...twice.

That's really good to know, 'cause I was really worried. I have no expectations that it'll be anywhere near as good at T1 or T2, but I just want to know that it'll be worth the 7.25 I'll hafta drop to see it.

What was it like with the girl causing all the destruction? For me it was easy to believe Arnold could do all the kick butt he did because he is, well he is Arnold. I just think I would sit in the movie theatre and say, "whatever, come on she's a girl" the whole time(even though she is a robot too). Tell me what you thought of the Woman Terminator.

I thought she was pretty cool. Arnold beats the crap out of her in most scenes, but then she just outlasts him because she is better...they do a great job of convincing you that she is a better robot, and she uses her tools to her advantage. Most of her butt-kicking is due to her extra capabilities (being a highly innovative robot from the future and all). Arnold's butt-kicking is mostly due to his being...well, Arnold:)

Of course there will be some who greatly dislike a certain movie, and those who love a movie. But it seems that of late many of the recent big movies have garnered an excessive and very vocal following of haters. Recent movies of this sort are Matrix Reloaded and T3. Do you see the same thing going on? If so, what are the reasons? Are movies worse, or are people wanting something different?

I think with Reloaded, the hype was just so huge, that expectations came way up, and it didn't quite get there...it didn't shake up our culture like the first one, so people got mad. With T3, I've actually seen mostly good reviews, and everyone I've talked to who's seen it, liked it. I'm not sure who you are referring to that is bashing it.
