Remember the first day of school? The excitement, the anticipation, the boredom? Well, I got to relive that to some degree today. It was my first day of teaching, and it was very exciting, and went very well. I had a ball. My classroom was all spic and span, the posters were on the wall, and my speech was prepared. And they took it very well. It's going to be a great year. God has blessed me with some wonderful kids, and has put me in a wonderful place. So pray for me, that I am able to teach these kids in a manner that they enjoy and learn from, and that glorifies God.
Posted by at August 22, 2003 11:52 AMI'm glad to hear you had a good day. Did you get to choose the posters yourself?
Posted by: the booth at August 22, 2003 02:08 PMDude, I had the same experience 2 years ago. Unlike you, though, I floated my first year.
The second year is cake. Sooooo much easier.
Teaching was my 3rd career. So far it's my favorite. It helps if you are willing to take a few risks and be funny.
Oh yeah, never let 'em see you sweat. Or cry.
Good luck. Keep us posted.
