More Movies? sheesh!

I haven't seen many new movies lately, so not much to report. A few of us saw Runaway jury about a week ago. It was pretty good, I must say. They did completely change Grisham's novel, but that's pretty standard these days. If you can get past the whole "guns are bad" propaganda, the performances by Hackman, Cusack, and Hoffman are excellent. And there is some style in the direction. It was very enjoyable to watch and listen to, and was just kind of a fun movie. I like those from time to time.

I also bought the Indiana Jones Trilogy on DVD last week. I can't wait to watch the special features. Lacey and I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark last week, and I was reminded of how much I love that movie. This trilogy, like Star Wars and Back to the Future, holds so many memories of when I was a kid. I must have seen Raiders 75 times...and I still love watching it. Anyway, the new digital mastering of the picture and sound are fabulous. And I'm sure the documentaries, interviews, etc. will be a lot of fun. Boy, isn't it nice to hearken back to a time when Harrison Ford still did great movies?

I saw Runaway Jury last week and enjoyed it as well, though I think it's a stretch to call it "propaganda."

Ooh ooh ooh!! Indiana Jones is da coolest! I've always been a big Indy Fan. (River Phoenix was so awesome...) The Last Crusade is, and always will be, one of my absolute fav movies of all time.
"The DOG? You were named after the dog?!" Good times good times...
