Well, tomorrow is the Mexican holiday, and I have the night off, so I'm sad there's no party. I missed Christin's big bash last year, and sadly there's no reprisal. Lacey did ask me an interesting question this week though. Why do we have parties on Cinco de Mayo? Yes, it's a Mexican holiday, but why do we feel compelled to celebrate it in places like Moscow, Idaho and Monroe, Louisiana? Is it just another excuse to get together and drink, or what? I'm perplexed. Any thoughts?
Posted by Josh Melton at May 4, 2004 04:36 PMYeah, it's just another excuse to party. Sorry I'm not having a bash this year. I don't have Emily around to convince me to do it. I'll have a party soon, though (just for fun) and I'll try to make it at a time you can come.
