I love sports. Have I mentioned that? What a great few weeks we have. The Pacers in the middle of their season (albeit a bad one), Indiana about to tear up the Big Ten (we'll know tomorrow if that is even remotely true), the Irish sucking but hopeful (already number 4 in one preseason college poll), USC going down in dramatic fashion (more on that later), and best of all: the Colts about to win the Super Bowl. I know, I know, they've been resting and rusty and on the decline a bit since we hit 13-0. But we're still going to romp in the playoffs. I don't normally make boldface predictions, but the Colts are 2 touchdowns better than the rest of the NFL and they're going to prove it. Mark it down.
Ok, so I'm already tired of everyone saying the Texas-USC game was the best ever. I'm unbelievably pumped that Texas won, because I hate USC so much, but did anyone even SEE any defense being played in that game? The second half was like a freakin' NASCAR race! USC got stopped one time, on a lucky blitz where LenDale White was 2 inches away from a first down. I mean, I need at least a LITTLE defense to coNsider it the best game of even the season! Granted, the stakes were high. But I can think of at least 4 games during the regular season that were better than this game, so I'm going to rank them in order, starting at the best:
1.Notre Dame - USC...duh.
2.Penn State - Michigan
3.Ohio State - Texas (can someone say rematch?)
4.LSU - Auburn
Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Good job 'Horns, watch out next year cause my Irish are gonna smoke! In fact, while I'm going out on limbs, I'm gonna say that ND wins the national championship AND Brady Quinn wins the Heisman. Whatcha gonna do about it?
GO COLTS!
