Yeah, you heard me. I'm a texting MACHINE. Ok, whatever. Here's a few of the latest happenings at the Melton house.
Noah continues to grow, and get more interesting. He finds his feet all the time now, and LOVED being outside last night giving out candy to trick-or-treaters. He hasn't been sleeping well at night, so please pray for that, as well as Lacey's sanity.
I keep setting new records for no movies watched. I can't hardly remember the last time I went to one (my birthday!) or even watched one on DVD. For me, that is totally nuts. But we are hard at work on Season 6 of Scrubs, which came out on Tuesday. Man, do I love that show!
Our TV viewing week is about to get whittled down. I'm so bored by Heroes and Desperate Housewives, it is not even funny. As far as D.H., that's been on the outs for a while now. They don't even hardly bother to turn anything into a lesson any more, it's just a soap these days. And it's going. Soon. Heroes has been the most frustrating. A lot of questions. No answers. Terrible acting. Boring storylines. Crappy dialogue. It's maddening. Basically, every week I'm bored out of my mind until the last 5 minutes. They may have reached a turning point this last episode where they started to tie things together, so we'll see. But if it doesn't continue to improve, bye-bye. That would actually be good though, because Amazing Race starts soon, and Lost and 24 start up after the new year (as well as Lacey's American Idol - blech).
Indy is gearing up for the showdown this weekend. Colts-Patriots, and it should be a good one. They look invincible, but we are the Super Bowl champs, are undefeated, and playing at home. So we'll see. I'm not terribly optimistic, but I will be fired up for the game, especially since it's such a clear-cut case of good vs. evil. Belicik the jerk vs. Dungy the saint. Peyton the family man vs. Brady the skirt-chasing pretty boy. You get the drift. So tune in if you can, it will be crazy. No one in the city is talking about ANYTHING else.
Josh Gibbs posted one of his favorite SNL commercials recently, and it got me thinking about my favorite moments. I'd say as of now, even though there are literally DOZENS of skits that come to mind as the funniest, my top two are:
1.The Cowbell Skit - Walken and Ferrell at their best
2.Lazy Sunday - The Chronic (What!) Cles of Narnia
Christin gets married on December 1st, and I am TOTALLY bummed that Lacey and I can't make it. I've been looking forward to the day Christin got married for years, because I'd get to see so many old friends (oh yeah, and because Christin gets married - lol), plus it will be an absolute blast. Ugh, one of the drawbacks of living 800 miles from Monroe, and having 2 jobs and a baby. Congrats Christin and Stephen, we love you and wish you the best.
Later.

I'm annoyed with the Matt & Mohinder - old married couple dialogue. But I can't wait til Chekov shows up...Chekov is going to be on the show too, right?
