Wow, it's been a while. I've been spending most of my time on youtube putting up videos of Noah. You can visit: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=jmmelton777 to see the evidence. Also, I've been hijacking my wife's blog, and hanging out at my facebook. I'm only coming back here to badmouth the entire New England Patriot organization.
Recently, I had a discussion with an extended family member about the Patriots. I questioned (and still do) how any neutral fan (i.e. anyone who hasn't been a lifelong Colts or Patriots fan, or who doesn't live in the respective cities) could possibly root for the Patriots. Anyway, I still don't see it. Granted, the Patriots have a great team - possibly even the best in the history of the NFL. They are top to bottom the best team in the league this year. They have a coach and team dedicated to winning. But is that really enough? This is an organization throughout the years that has had rules changed because of their dirty play. They have been fined and had a draft pick taken away this season for cheating both in the first game of this year, and most likely in past years. Their coach shirks the media, and blows off not only ex-members of his coaching staff (and supposedly friends of his), but classy coaches like Tony Dungy. I could go on and on. But now, they are perpetrators of running up the score whenever they can, a particularly repugnant thing to do, and not at all an example of good sportsmanship. Consider last night's game, in which they won a whopping 56-10. In the 4th quarter they are up 42-7, clearly a laugher, and the first-string offense is still in - and not only that, but they go for it on 2 separate possessions to score extra touchdowns! This is just disgusting behavior, and if not properly spun, could give a black eye to the entire league. I will leave you with a couple quotes from last night which sum it all up:
"On New England's last two offensive TD drives, the Patriots went for it on fourth down as the Buffalo crowd shouted obscenities clearly aimed at Belichick. Eckel, a fourth-string running back who also scored a rub-it-in TD against Dallas, was a part of the later scores."
""Coach says he puts you out there to score when you touch it," Brady said. "He doesn't put you out there to punt.""
Classy.

I like a coach driving his players to succeed all the time. However, I would find it funny if it bites them in the ass when Brady or someone on the first string gets injured in the fourth quarter of a 56-10 blowout.
