Pulp Fiction

Lacey was at a ladies meeting last evening, so I was by my lonesome (once I put Noah to sleep) and flipping around the channels, and I happened to come across Pulp Fiction on one of the movie channels. Now, I love this movie, and I think it is one of my favorites of all time. For many reasons, one of which being that it is a Hebrew chiasm. Anyway, here are a few random thoughts I had last night, while watching it again.

1.John Travolta can roll and smoke cigarettes like no one else. He's the only person I can think of that when he smokes, it makes me want to smoke. Oh yeah, he can dance pretty well, too.

2.Christopher Walken is the MAN! The Gold Watch monologue might be one of the greatest monologues in cinematic history.

3.I, like Bruce Willis, would like to be Ving Rhames' "ni**a". It just sounds cool. Props to Remy for saying this before me.

4.One time, I tried to shave like Sam Jackson in his role in this movie. You know, with the massive chops and goatee? It was when I first shaved my massive beard off in the winter of 2001. Yeah, it looked retarded. Sam Jackson though? Freaking awesome. Especially in P.F.

5.Josh McInnis, if you're reading this, I think we should take another scene from this movie and put it into Latin. For old time's sake.

I still have that diner scene script somewhere - it might even be on my old computer. I haven't seen Pulp Fiction since Moscow, but it is still one of my favorite movies. There's nothing like it today. That gold watch talk would be a fun one for a translation, but it is a monologue.
