Yes, I know it's a great song by The Dave Matthews Band. And for all you haters of DMB out there (you know who you are), shove it! You know you're just jealous.
Anyway, I come not to speak on the benefits of listening to a daily regime of DMB, but to finally update this thing. I've been pretty busy, traveling all over and working. So I thought I'd share.
Made it to Monroe last weekend. Had a great time. Saw baby Bryce. He's doing tons better. Should be able to come home this week. Attended one of the stranger weddings I've been to in my life. It really was fine, but someone should've told them not to make out up front. That's what the wedding night is for. Anyway, we had a great time hanging out till 3AM at McBrooms Friday night, and at Pueblo Saturday. I miss Monroe for those kinds of things, although I certainly don't miss the weather and the roads. On the way home we saw a car flipped over in a ditch on the side of the road. I was the first one there (or at least the first to stop) and we finally got her out. She was fine (thank goodness she had her seatbelt on), but her car was a little worse for wear. It was pretty crazy.
I bought something off the TV for the first time in my life. A digital camera for Lacey's birthday. It was off the Home Shopping Network, and it was 5 mega pixels for 80 bucks! Ridicurous! Anyway, we just got it and we love it, and even if it only lasts a year, it was worth it (although the warranty we got was 2 years). So we FINALLY have caught up somewhat and have a digital camera.
I'm off to Colorado for the week tomorrow. Fort Collins to be exact. About an hour north of Denver. The company's sending me out there to train for a new office. I'm not looking forward to being away from Lacey for a week, but the scenery should be nice.
I guess that's about it...
Well, Lacey and I got away to Lake Michigan this weekend for a family reunion. Seems like all we ever do when we get free time is travel to some family function. We need some more Mexico time. Anyway, I had forgotten how beautiful LM was (the freaking thing is huge!), and the waves on Friday were fantastic. 8-footers at times that would knock us over, it was glorious. Needless to say we got a lot of beach time and frisbee in. Even a game of frisbee football with Dad, Joel and Damien on the sandbar.
Congratulations are in order for Bart and Jennifer Lizenby. Jen birthed an enormous 11-pound Bryce this morning, and he is in ICU with fluid in his lungs. Should be ok though. I officially have two nephews now, and look forward to seeing the newest one this weekend. Lacey and I are coming to Funroe for the baby and Branson wedding. Should be fun.
Whew! I finally got my entire music collection loaded on the Dellpod. With over 5600 songs on there, I should have plenty to listen to. Not only that, but I actually let Lacey use it this weekend! For our road trip back from Indiana (more on that later) she picked the playlist. Here it is:
